Having owned both the 2009, and 2010 Macbook Pro 17 inch models, I've decided to do a little review on the 2011 Macbook Pro Update. Lets see how the 2009, and 2010 Macbook Pro's compare to the new 2011 refresh. The breakdown and comparison of the new 2011 Macbook Pro vs. 2010 Macbook Pro vs. 2009 Macbook Pro (17-inch models) listed at the bottom of the page below the video.
Below, I have configured the new 2011 model to match my previous 09 / 10 MBP's (as featured in the video comparison) as close as possible. The price has gone up significantly with each model. I have done benchmarks on all three Macbook's and while the scores do improve, as well as the performance, it's not THAT noticeable in terms of real world application.
